Burns Night

Event Date 01-25-2018 Event Time 5-8pm

“What is Burns Night?” you are likely asking yourself. Let us sum up: Burns Night is a chance to taste beer from one of the oldest brewing systems in operation in the world located in the oldest continuously inhabited house in Scotland. It’s literally a piece of history.

The brewing system was installed in the early 1700s, but went unused through the 1800s until it was rediscovered in the 1960s. In 1993 the brewery expanded to double capacity; it is still quite small, producing under 500 barrels per year. The brewery now produces two beers, Traquair House Ale and Jacobite, which is brewed with coriander seed. Fermentation takes place in the oak fermentation vessels, some of which are over 200 years old.

Malt-focused and smooth without being overly sweet, these stronger ales fit the season quite well. We hope you will join us and give them a try!

Tapping Into Community – School Garden Project

Event Date 02-20-2018 Event Time 5pm

“School Garden Project helps Lane County Schools create, sustain, and use onsite gardens by providing resources, professional consultation, and educational programming. We envision a future in which school garden education helps children become healthy adults who eat their fruits and vegetables, know the basics of growing food, and contribute to a thriving community.”

Doesn’t that sound like a mission worth supporting? Well, it’s as easy as buying a round of WildCraft cider at this Tapping Into Community event. 100% of the proceeds from the keg (exact style TBD), tapped at 5pm, will be donated to the School Garden Project.
