Break It Down! Food Fermentation Workshop

The transformation of raw food into delicious, fermented consumables is pretty much why we are here (at least, here at The Bier Stein). If you’re curious about how to turn a tasty local organic cabbage into delicious sauerkraut to cook with and pair with your liter of lager, you should join us for this informative event!
Break It Down is a hands-on workshop led by our chef Patrick in conjunction with Fermentation on Wheels, a touring fermentation education nonprofit. You’ll be preparing your own sauerkraut while gaining knowledge of the culture and science behind lactic fermentation. In addition, there will be samples of sauerkraut and a little beer to pair. You’ll go home with a jar to ferment and some sweet recipes to use in the future!

We are asking for a $10 suggested donation– 100% of that will go to Fermentation on Wheels. Participants will also receive a coupon for 20% off a purchase at the Falling Sky Fermentation Supply Shop.
