Suck Less!

Event Date 08-28-2018 Event Time 6:30 - 8:00pm

You’re invited to come have a pint and “Suck Less” with us on Tuesday, August 28th. We are partnering with Strawless Oregon for a viewing of the short film “STRAW” produced by Linda Booker, which takes a closer look at our use of plastic and its negative impact on the environment. Strawless Oregon is a local organization started by one inspired 7th grade student that brings students, teachers, parents, and businesses together to reduce the use of disposable plastic, starting with plastic straws.  BRING Recycling will also be joining us to provide information on what can and cannot be recycled in commingle recycling.

There will be prizes to give away throughout the night and an awesome tap list from local breweries who are making an effort to implement environmentally responsible practices in their businesses, starting with eliminating plastic straws.

Flight School – Farmhouse Ales – with Aaron Brussat

Event Date 09-04-2018 Event Time 6:00 - 7:00pm

Dig into one of the most mysterious yet popular and refreshing styles of beer. We’ll taste through a flight of four different examples of “Farmhouse” beer, or Saison. During the flight, we’ll learn about the European origins of the style and how American brewers have taken its versatility to the max. We’ll also talk about the how and why of the beers’ flavors and aromas, and improvise a theoretical menu of food to pair with each beer.

Aaron is a Certified Cicerone, beer writer, homebrewer, and editor of the Northwest Brewing News. Flight School is for anybody who wants to expand their knowledge of beer!

Tickets are $18 and are available at the bar.  Purchasing in advance is recommended!
